Where are China students coming from?

With nearly 285,000 China passport holders entering on F-1 visas during the 2008-2012 period, China is the source of the largest number of foreign students to the United States. While Beijing (50,000) and Shanghai (29,100) provide the greatest number of students, a large number of students come from smaller cities.
